Sturgeon River Nekoosa UD AX AXJ
Nekoosa was a German Shorthaired Pointer that Rose had since she was 8 weeks old. She came from Nekoosa, WI.
Together Rose and Nekoosa learned to do agility, obedience and hunting. She loved to retrieve on land or in the water. Nekoosa earned her excellent level agility titles and her utility title in obedience.
Rose was VERY proud of her. She tried so hard to do right. Most of the times she disqualified in Utility was for anticipation, but at 7 years old she had it all together and won her UD title. When Rose got Border Collies she even taught Nekoosa to herd sheep. She had all the commands down and could move the sheep where Rose wanted them. At the time, Rose wanted another dog to train, and Nekoosa was the closest thing she had.
Now, Nekoosa lays next to Chi on the river bank, where they played and retrieved for hours in the river. They are in a beautiful flower bed and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Nekoosa, you will be sadly missed.
